The Falcons are fast gaining the reputation as one of the most progressive clubs in the British Baseball Leagues. This combined with
the club's success on the field (Promotion to the Premier League and creation of a second team joining Division One) has increased the
club's exposure in Hertfordshire and in other parts of the country.
The club's performances have been covered extensively by the local press and various on-line publications, including Hemel Gazzette,
Watford Observer, Edgware & Mill Hill Times, HemelHempsteadToday.co.uk, Hillingdon Times and others.
The Hemel Gazette published regular match reports and included photos taken by the newspaper's photographer who was present at most
home games. One of the most memorable articles was in September 2004 following the club's incredible play-off victory which included a
full page pull out and images which captured the club's wild celebrations.
The club maintains strong relationships with the local community and local businesses and we are actively seeking commercial
partnerships which would be beneficial for the partner and for the club
The following is a list of elements which could be included in the Official Sponsor package, however, it is important to find the most
effective package for the sponsor, therefore we would recommend that potential sponsors contact us to discuss their specific needs and
objectives and their views on how best to structure the package.
- Exclusive status as Official Sponsor of "Herts Falcons Baseball Club"
- Use of the Club's logo to promote the sponsorship
- Use of the title (Official Sponsor) to promote the sponsorship
- Advertising on the club's uniform. Possible options:
- on the back of the players' official jersey, above their number (maximum size 16 x 40 cm), and/or
- on the sleeve, and/or
- on the cap
- Board Advertising at Grovehill Field. Possible options:
- on the permanent perimeter fence behind home plate, along the 1st and 3rd base lines and/or
- on the temporary outfield fence; and/or
- high up on the fence behind home plate (visible from all other parts of Grovehill Playing Fields
- which is a home to many other sports clubs)
- Advertising and information on the Club's official Web Site and/or link to the Sponsor's Web Site
- As an additional benefit the All-Star Weekend Sponsor package can be included as part of the Official Sponsor package
Note: As a club affiliated to the British Baseball Federation (BBF), sponsorship arrangements will have to be in line with BBF guidelines.
In the summer the club holds an annual All-Star Weekend which takes place on a Sunday. The event takes place at the club's field with the participation of all members and their friends and family where everyone enjoys an enjoyable day, as well as food and drinks.
The programme includes the All Star game between Falcons and Hawks and the Home Run Derby. The Home Run Derby is a competition including one of the most exciting aspects of baseball - the Home Run (hitting the ball beyond the outfield fence).
The All-Star Weekend Sponsor package includes the following benefits:
- Title Sponsor of the event (i.e. "The ABC Ltd All-Star Weekend")
- Sponsor invited to attend the event and take part in the Home Run Derby (number of guests participating in the Home Run Derby to be agreed)
- Sponsor throws the ceremonial first pitch of the All-Star game.
- Advertising and information on the Club's official Web Site and/or link to the Sponsor's Web Site. During the week of the All-Star Weekend the event will be covered on the club's website extensively and the Sponsor's name will be quoted throughout as the Sponsor of the event.
- Photo opportunity with the club to capture the event and the Sponsor can use such photo material to promote its sponsorship of the event.
Note: The club may consider inviting a visiting club or clubs for the All-Star game which may be arranged as a tournament.. If so, the event and the Sponsor may receive further exposure on the website of the visiting club(s).
Players and other members of the club have regular get-togethers to enjoy food and drinks. These can take place as often as twice per week during the season, and they continue to take place even during the off-season. Sometimes members of visiting clubs join such events.
The club is currently reviewing its existing arrangement with one of the public houses in Hemel Hempstead and is interested to see if there are other public houses who would be interested to become the club's Official Entertainment Venue.
Benefits include:
- Income resulting from club members visiting the venue. (Previous experience shows that club members spend £100 - £150 on drinks and food per visit and make approximately 40 visits per year which results in approximately £4,000 to £6,000 spent at the venue per year)
- If the venue is able to host the club's "End of Season Awards Night", "Annual General Meeting" or other Club events, this will result in additional income for the venue.
If you are a public house or a similar establishment located in and around Hemel Hempstead please contact us to discuss this opportunity.
The club regularly purchases equipment (uniforms, caps, gloves, bats, catching equipment, baseballs etc.). We are interested to set up an arrangement with interested suppliers where the club would be able to purchase equipment at a discount.
In addition to receiving orders from our club the supplier will also receive:
- Status of "Official Equipment Supplier of the Club
- Advertising and information on the Club's official Web Site and/or link to the Supplier's Web Site.
Note: Sometimes the discounted prices of the official supplier may be higher than the prices of other suppliers in which case it may not be beneficial for the club to purchase from the official supplier. Therefore, this is not an exclusive arrangement and the club reserves the right, at its own discretion, to purchase from alternative suppliers.
